Tips For Buyers
We know buying a home is one of the most significant events in your life. There are so many things to consider in choosing your dwelling place; is this where I want to bring up my family, that's a lot of money, can we afford it, schools, & etc. The goal of this page is to provide you with some information so you can be comfortable and knowledgeable in your decision. Remember you can call Tom or Pat any time with any question or concern.
Before buying ask yourself "What am I looking for in my dream home?"
What is your buying range?
A copy of your credit report will help prevent any surprises.
Check for:
Errors - is the data correct? Call credit bureau with any corrections.
Accounts that are opened but not used - close unnecessary open credit accounts
Late payments - be prepared to explain.
Pre-qualify or obtain pre-approval from a lender
Pre-qualification assesses your ability to qualify for a loan. The lender will ask
questions about your finances and provide you a pre-qualification letter.
Pre-approval means you are ready to buy, you have provide your lender with
the necessary documents and they have made a decision on the loan amount.
This will help us get better terms for you and could be the seller's deciding
factor to accept your offer.
Let us get to know you.
It is important that we have the opportunity to learn your likes or dislikes in a home. We would not want to waste your time showing you homes that you would not or could not live in. We can answer any questions and will use our knowledge of the area's listings to find and show you the homes suited "just for you".
